Never Come Down

Acrylic on canvas: 36" x 72" A self-portrait. I painted myself at my most happiest and relaxed. My head lost in the clouds, ungrounded and carefree. This is the best side of me and I think as an artist it is important to remember why you draw and who you draw for. I draw for this version of myself.

Choking Out The Thoughts

Pen on illustrator board: 12" x 16" The raw and destructive feelings of self-doubt are fresh in my mind as I composed this piece, people say that you’re your worst critic and that has always been true with me. As I struggled to come terms with my love for art, and doing what I thought was the right choice, I battled a lot of my own thoughts.

Second Chances

Oil paint on wood: 14" x 18" The aftermath of “Choke Out the Thoughts.” We all heal in different ways, and as I came to terms with who I wanted to be, it was bittersweet. I let go of a part of me and started healing what was left behind. The flowers represented in this painting are all real flowers that represent healing, forgiveness and rebirth.

Junie & Bert

A classic Calvin-and-Hobbes-esque relationship, Junie and Bert are an inseparable pair. Both motherless, they find joy in the small things and enjoy what they have. A carefree lighthearted pair that finds connection in love. Characters based off of my childhood.

Junie is an energetic character; both loving and endlessly growing from a child to a teenager.

Bert is a more mature character; guiding and protecting Junie while also having his own fun.

The Stars Your Limit
